Why this stage matters

No team will hire you without Git. Beyond that, your GitHub profile is your public proof of work: recruiters and reviewers read it before they read your CV.

What to learn

1. Must know

   Git Fundamentals

   Mark as done

   Commits, branches, merge vs rebase, resolving conflicts, and undoing mistakes safely.

   You're done when

   • You resolve a merge conflict without panicking.
   • You know the difference between git reset, git revert, and git restore.

   GitHub Collaboration

   Pull requests, code review, issues, and writing commit messages and PR descriptions people want to read.

   You're done when

   • You open small, focused PRs with a clear description and screenshots for UI changes.
   • You have reviewed someone else's PR and left useful comments.

Common mistakes

• Commit messages like 'fix' and 'update'. Write what changed and why.
• Committing .env files with secrets. Add them to .gitignore before the first commit.
